Mr. Sanborn practices extensively in the areas of complex construction and commercial litigation. In this capacity, he has represented both public and private owners, design professionals, general contractors, and subcontractors/suppliers in matters including defect, delay, disruption, acceleration, and unforeseen site condition claims. Mr. Sanborn has experience in all phases of construction and other complex disputes, from contract formation through mediation, trial and appeal.

Mr. Sanborn graduated from Washington University School of Law in 2002 with High Honors. There, he was a member of the primary journal, Law Quarterly, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. Mr. Sanborn was also the recipient of the Honor Scholar Award and the F. Hodge O’Neal Corporate Law Prize. He clerked for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri and was a summer associate with Winston & Strawn, LLP in its Chicago office. Mr. Sanborn obtained his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University’s James Madison College in 1999 with High Honors.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Sanborn began his practice as an associate with Larson • King, LLP in St. Paul, Minnesota, before returning home to Michigan.

Mr. Sanborn is an active member of the Michigan Bar Association, the Minnesota Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He has been admitted to practice in the States of Michigan and Minnesota, and in the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota.

Mr. Sanborn has published articles and given presentations on numerous topics, including a primer on construction defect claims before the MDLA, at the Minnesota association’s annual winter conference in 2006.
