  • Currently representing the largest U.S. freight airline as plaintiff in design defects litigation pending before the Federal District Court in the Northern District of California arising out of the design of modifications to B747 aircraft. Obtained jury verdicts in excess of $120,000,000 based on breach of contract and fraud claims.
  • Represented former owners of medical products distribution network in suit against buyers of that business where the owner claims it was defrauded in amounts exceeding $20,000,000 in connection with the sale of the business.
  • Co-lead defense counsel defending a Fortune 500 franchiser of fast food restaurants against claims by a large number of individual franchisees seeking over $20,000,000 in damages for alleged breaches of a master franchise agreement.
  • Served as lead trial counsel in the defense of a $30,000,000 claim made under the Federal False Claims Act in connection, with the award and later settlement of a government procurement contract in excess of $1,000,000,000.
  • Defense team member in connection with defense of an aider and abettor securities fraud suit in which the plaintiff sought damages in excess of $500,000,000 from the general contractor in connection with the construction of a nuclear power plant.
  • Represented a municipality in a federal civil rights class action brought by minority residents and joined by the United States Department of Justice wherein the claimants alleged that the municipality’s revitalization plans were designed solely to remove minorities from the community.
  • Represented accounting firm in federal securities class action litigation in defense of a claim that the firm’s improper audit resulted in investors losing millions.
  • Represented one of the nation’s largest real estate developers in the defense of a fraudulent conveyance action brought by various entities based on the bankruptcy of a related corporation.
